As 2024 comes to an end, we look back with immense pride and gratitude at what has been a remarkable year for The Station House Hotel! From prestigious awards and exciting milestones to charity events and community initiatives, here’s a recap of some highlights from the past year:
The pinnacle of 2024 came in November when we were thrilled to announce our entry into the renowned Ireland’s Blue Book. This exclusive collection of 64 exceptional properties across Ireland represents the very best in hospitality and dining. Being selected and endorsed by Ireland’s top hotels and restaurants is a huge accolade and honor, and we look forward to welcoming all Blue Book voucher holders!
To celebrate, we have our special Blue Book Celebratory Package. In addition, all dinner, bed, and breakfast guests will receive a lovely Station House gift bag. It includes an exclusive selection from Thelma’s Pantry, featuring one jar of her homemade jam or chutney, made from fruits grown in her garden, and one bag of her famous oat biscuits or granola.
*Please note the evening meals on a Monday & Tuesday evenings are served from the Platform Bar Menu; on Sundays, dinner is served from our all day Sunday Menu in Signal Restaurant
In support of Meath Women’s Refuge & Support Services, we partnered with Joanne Mallon of Ribbon Rouge Boutiques to host a fabulous fashion show luncheon. With over 170 attendees, stylish catwalk displays from Ribbon Rouge, Butterfly Boutique, and Geoghans, and generous contributions from local businesses and suppliers, we raised an incredible €35,140 for this vital cause.
Sincere thanks to all the raffle sponsors and our suppliers who helped make the day such a huge success, including Tindal Wines, Nicks Fish, La Rousse Foods, Irish Distillers, Keelings Fruit, Specsavers Navan, Lama Interiors by Aileen, Shanley Interiors, Emerald Airlines, Constantia Dunboyne, Wilkinson Jewellers Navan, Madden Furniture, Pzazz Media and Gloss Salon Navan.
We welcomed over 40 fabulous ladies to enjoy coffee and scones while raising €1,600 for Meath Hospice, another charity close to our hearts.
We were proud to support the incredible work of our local Tidy Towns team in keeping Kilmessan looking its very best.
In September, we took a big step forward as a local neuro-diversity champion. Partnering with Eva from @neurodiversitynavan, we kicked off our training program to ensure our hotel is inclusive and supportive for all guests and team members.
We proudly hosted the Tara Athletics Awards Ceremony in the Carriage Suite. Over 200 attendees gathered to celebrate the achievements of local athletes, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication within our community!
In May, we proudly celebrated 40 years of The Station House Hotel with a memorable gathering of family, friends, and loyal guests who have been integral to our journey. The event also served as an opportunity to give back, raising €4,750 in support of Tiglin Ireland, a remarkable charity dedicated to helping individuals in and around Dublin overcome addiction and homelessness.
