Lisa Shares the Magic of Her Wedding Day in Her Own Words
“I love everything about weddings, but it’s not every day you get to design and work on your own. I absolutely loved creating a floral vision for our day, creating my own bridal bouquet whilst having a bop around my floral studio in North County Dublin.
We said our “I do’s” in an outdoor ceremony in the enchanting turntable, where we later returned for our first dance. The ceremony was so special, filled with so much laughter and unexpected appearances from fluttering butterflies overhead, one of which decided to land on Ian’s head during the ceremony. To this day still, we giggle about how that was his dad giving us all a great big laugh from above.”
“The turntable is such a special element of Station House and I wanted to transform it further into a colourful, majestic meadowland and with the help of some of my flowery friends, this truly came to life. The kitchen is the heartbeat of our home, so we decided to pack up our treasured loveseat from our home and used it as a focal point of our ceremony, where Ian and I could face all our loved ones whilst saying our vows.”
“Mornings of weddings can be quite frantic at times, but I can honestly say it was such a lovely, chilled morning. I was dotting around the venue adding finishing touches to the dining tables, Ian was strolling the grounds with baby Daisy whilst unbeknownst to him, Bridesmaid and stepdaughter Lilli-Mai was setting up his surprise popcorn bar – which was a mega hit!”
